ABOUT US

Meet Carly Goodfellow

I’m really glad you’ve found your way here. I work with couples who feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck, often in patterns they don’t fully understand but deeply want to change.  Whatever brings you here, I want you to know relationships can heal, and they can once again become a safe haven or comfort and fulfillment.

My approach is warm and collaborative. I offer a space where both partners can feel accepted, seen, and supported as we explore your struggles together — with compassion, skilled intervention and a belief that you can become strong together again.

"It is so moving to see couples turn toward each other with more compassion — after so much pain — it inspires me everyday"

Helping couples talk honestly, feel safe, and find their way back.

I’ve spent the last 18 years walking alongside couples through some of their hardest moments — and witnessing healing as they learn to listen differently, feel more loving, and rebuild trust, even when things have felt fragile or broken. My work is rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which means I focus on helping partners understand the deeper needs and longings underneath their conflict — and how to respond to each other with more compassion, care, and connection.

Many of the couples I support are also carrying the weight of complex trauma or early attachment wounds, which can quietly shape how safe we feel in relationships. My training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy helps couples tune into the physical sensations and escalated emotions that often drive their reactions. By learning to regulate these reactions together, couples can communicate more calmly, respond with greater empathy, and build a deeper, safer connection.

It is so inspiring to see couples begin to hear each other in new ways — to soften, to stay present through hard conversations, to understand that their reactions are often rooted in old pain or fear. These are the turning points where healing begins. This is the heart of the work I do.
