ABOUT US
Meet Jennifer Harrison
I am so glad that you are here. I’m a trauma-informed individual and couples counsellor and I work with individuals and couples who are stuck in painful patterns, or just longing for more connection in their lives and relationships.
Maybe you keep having the same frustrating argument again and again. Maybe anxiety has taken up so much space in your mind that it’s hard to be present — with your partner, your family, even yourself. You’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out all by yourself.
"Over the years, I’ve come to really appreciate that relationships come in all shapes and forms — and every one of them deserves care, attention, and a chance to thrive."

Healing is possible. Connection is possible. Let’s begin where you are.
In my practice, I work with people of all genders, sexual orientations, and relationship structures. My approach is warm, affirming, and deeply respectful of who you are. I’m especially mindful of how trauma, neurodiversity, and identity intersect with the way we relate to ourselves and others. I’m here to hold space for all of that — without judgment and with genuine care.

When I sit with couples, I’m holding space for two people who care deeply but are struggling to communicate, feeling disconnected, or unsure how to repair after hurt. My job isn’t to take sides — it’s to help you both feel safe enough to show up honestly, hear each other more clearly, and rebuild a sense of trust and intimacy.
We’ll work together to understand how anxiety, stress, past wounds, or patterns of disconnection are showing up. Anxiety has a way of convincing us we’re the problem — that we’re too much, not enough, or somehow falling short. But I see anxiety differently. It’s often a protective response from a nervous system that’s been on high alert for a long time. Together, we’ll explore what’s behind the anxiety or overwhelm, at a pace that feels right for you.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the business world and spent over 20 years volunteering with children, youth, and families navigating illness, grief, and loss. Those experiences taught me how resilient people really are — and how powerful it is to be witnessed and supported during life’s hardest seasons.
You are not broken. Your feelings make sense. Everyone deserves a space where they are seen, heard, and valued. Whether you’re seeking support as an individual or as part of a couple, I’m here to help you untangle the stuck places, deepen your self-understanding, and move toward the kind of life and relationships that feel more connected and alive.

Why We Do This Work
"I genuinely love helping people find their way back to themselves and each other. There's something incredibly meaningful about witnessing those quiet moments of clarity - when someone realizes they're not broken, or when a couple looks at each other with more understanding and heart. I love supporting that kind of healing"
